Franklin County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.As of the 2020 census, the population was 155,932. [1] Its county seat is Chambersburg. Coyle Free Library [94] has roots going back to 1891, [95] when a library of 166 books was organized by the local Afternoon Club. A member of the club, Blanche Coyle, left a bequest of $30,435 (~$663,331 in 2023) in 1915 to construct a library building.
