Camp Foster (Japanese: キャンプ・フォスター), formerly known as Camp Zukeran, is a United States Marine Corps camp located in Ginowan City with portions overlapping into Okinawa City, Chatan town and Kitanakagusuku village in the Japanese prefecture of Okinawa Island. It is part of the Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Butler complex.

[2] [3] During World War II the battalion took part in combat operations at Bougainville, [4] Guam, [5] and Iwo Jima. [6] Following the war the battalion was decommissioned on December 28, 1945 at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. [2]
