The u3a movement (u3a) is an international movement whose aims are the education and stimulation of mainly retired members of the community — those in their third 'age' of life. Formerly known as University of the Third Age this was altered in a rebrand during 2020 There is no universally accepted model for the u3a.

To me, the U3A Third Age is related to "life-long-learning". U3A is intended predominatly for mature-age people; with some U3A prospectuses making reference to being 'retired', and by implication being eligible after paid-employment. Or perhaps it is getting into one's third-generation - being a grand-parent.
The U3A (University of the Third Age) for retired persons is a co-operative education setting located in Ferntree Gully. There are a number of kindergartens in Ferntree Gully including Bena Angliss Pre-school.
