Sri Asih is a 2022 superhero film based on the Bumilangit character of the same name. The film was directed by Upi who co-wrote the screenplay with Joko Anwar.It is the second installment in the Bumilangit Cinematic Universe (BCU).

Established in 2003, Bumilangit marked the milestone in the revival of superheroes-based comic storytelling in Indonesia. Since 2003, various legendary Indonesian comic characters is under the management of Bumilangit such as Gundala (by Hasmi), Si Buta Dari Gua Hantu (by Ganes TH), Sri Asih (by RA Kosasih), Tira, Virgo (Jan Mintaraga), Mandala (Man), and so on.
The following November, Sri Asih was released in theatre as the second entry to the Bumilangit Cinematic Universe, which Anwar wrote and produced. [ 28 ] In 2024, Joko Anwar's Nightmares and Daydreams , a seven-episode anthology series created by Anwar, was released on Netflix .
