This includes Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5, Compressor 4, Logic Pro X, and MainStage 3. Right now I use iMovie to make very short videos for use in online teaching.

    My MacBook Pro with 32 GB of RAM is using 20 GB for basic stuff like a few Safari tabs with YouTube going, Music, Messages, Discord, Skype. But everyone says 16 GB is more than enough for an actual workflow in Final Cut, Logic, etc. How is this possible? Does my Mac simply not release memory because there is no need to with 32GB?
