Lake in the Hills is home to 34 parks. The smallest is Kennedy Triangle at .13 of an acre and the largest is Sunset Park Sports Complex at 125 acres. Our largest natural resource is the 240-acre Fen at Barbara Key Park. Our parks also include over 5 miles of off-street bike paths.

Consolidated elections include the election of select County, Township, Municipal, Park District, Library District, School District, and Fire District officials. The next consolidated election will take place in early 2025, with the primaries in February and the election on April 1, 2025.
A contractor must be licensed by the Village of Lake in the Hills to work in the Village. The Village Hall maintains a current list of licensed contractors within the Village. As this list changes almost daily, we ask that you contact the Village Hall at 847-960-7400 to check if a contractor is licensed with the Village before you hire them.
