Jacinto City’s Parks & Recreation Department manages and maintains the city’s four parks, four ball fields, tennis courts, swimming pool and a recreation center. Our mission is to provide the citizens of Jacinto City with safe, clean and fun environment where the entire family can spend their leisure time.
History. Jacinto City’s history dates back to Nov. 1, 1841, when the State of Texas issued a land grant to James Wyatt Oates. In 1866, his grandson, Charles Oates, built the first home in what is now Jacinto City.
The City Council is comprised of the Mayor and five Council Members. These dedicated public servants act as the governing body of Jacinto City. Each council member serves as liaison to one of five administrative departments within the city.
Police Chief, Joe Ayala. The Chief of Police serves as the department head of the Police Department and reports to the City Manager. He is charged with keeping the peace and order in the city and protecting the lives and property of all citizens.
