The mixed championships have been held biannually since 1987. Mark Berger (born January 3, 1954) is a Ukrainian-born Canadian judoka.He won the gold medal in the men's heavyweight judo event at the 1983 Pan American Games and a bronze medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
