The Aliso Canyon gas leak (also called Porter Ranch gas leak [1] and Porter Ranch gas blowout [2]) was a massive methane leak in the Santa Susana Mountains near the neighborhood of Porter Ranch in the city of Los Angeles, California.
The oil giant was hired by Southern California Gas Co. to end the blowout. It couldn't get the job done.
