The Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) is one of the two professional bodies responsible for licensing practicing engineers in Ghana.It was founded in 1968 to succeed the Ghana Group of Professional Engineers.

The Public Services Commission has its roots in 1947 during the British colonial period. The service was established to replace the Gold Coast Civil Service. [2] The mission of the Civil Service, as stated in the Civil Service Law, 1993 PNDCL 327, “is to assist the Government in the formulation and implementation of government policies for the development of the country.”

In April 1977, the Government of Ghana became the sole shareholder. The name of the refinery was changed to the Tema Oil Refinery in 1991. [1]
