Sethna's 18th West Bombay Scout Group [30] was established in 1914, after Rustomji Edulji Sethna (1898–1954) came across Baden-Powell's Scouting for Boys. Sethna was enamoured with the book, and formed India's first Scout group for native boys. (Prior to this, there were some Scout groups, but they were primarily for British expatriate youth.)
A typical Scout group is composed of a pack, a troop and a Rover crew. Sometimes, some of these units might be duplicated. Each Scout group has a "Comunità capi" (leader's community) where all adult leaders belong. It meets quite often to plan all educational activities in the Scout group. Its work is driven by a three-year plan.
