Bunn-O-Matic Corporation is an American manufacturer of dispensed beverage equipment (including coffee and tea) headquartered in Springfield, Illinois, with a plant in Creston, Iowa. [1] Currently, the corporation's products are sold under the BUNN and Bunn-O-Matic brands.
Bunn is located in southeastern Franklin County. North Carolina Highway 98 passes through the town, leading southeastward 6 miles (10 km) to U.S. Route 64 and west 15 miles (24 km) to Wake Forest.
Their first record together, "Darling It's Wonderful", written by Bunn and arranged by Ray Ellis, reached number 15 on the R&B chart and number 48 on the Billboard pop chart, in 1957. [7] Bunn also managed, and recorded with, a group known variously as the Wheels (on the Premium label) and the Federals (on the De Luxe label).
Twenty years later, Jacob Bunn Jr., (1864–1926) took over and ran the company until his death in 1926. The Bunn family surname was used in their most famous railroad watch, the Illinois "Bunn Special". The company was sold to Hamilton Watch Company in 1927 and ceased to manufacture watches in the USA in the mid 1930s.
