I turned on my monitor about 8 hours ago and my screensaver and desktop wallpapers were gone. Blue screen then black screen. They still show up on the Start page and under Personalization but when I tried choosing the wallpapers again, nothing, and I didn't choose the screensaver, windows did.

You can search Windows.old folder under system disk to check if your old wallpaper is here. Or you can navigate to C:\Users\User name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\CachedFiles to check.
