Adelaide Central Plaza is a shopping centre located on Rundle Mall, Adelaide, South Australia. Its major tenant is David Jones, and the centre also includes a food court and about 40 retail outlets. Charles Birks & Co Ltd. was a South Australian department store founded by Charles Napier Birks in Rundle Street, Adelaide. His son Napier Birks took over the business in 1908. The business was acquired by David Jones Limited in 1954.
The stores at Westfield Marion and West Lakes Mall were rebadged as David Jones in late October 1996. The John Martin's outdoor furniture store at Keswick was also closed (this store was a former Clark Rubber store operated by another company within the Adelaide Steamship Company).
