The University of Georgia was founded in 2004 under the name of "Georgian University of Social Sciences". The University Founders were doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Giuli Alasania, and doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Manana Sanadze. From 2005 to 2007, the university developed and grew significantly.
In 1999, Jo Ann Medical Center established an independent, free, donation-based safe "blood bank". [1] The Department of Adult Cardiovascular Surgery and Emergency Cardiology was added to the center in 2000, and an angiocardiography laboratory has been in place since 2003. [4]
In addition to a central campus shared with the Agricultural University of Georgia in downtown Tbilisi, the University owns facilities all around Georgia, including the Anaseuli Education Center. The current Rector of The Free University is Vakhtang Lezhava. [3] There are 56 full-time and 84 part-time lecturers. 44 hold PhDs; 25 are PhD students.
