Manas International Airport (Kyrgyz: Манас эл аралык аэропорту, romanized: Manas El Aralyk Aeroportu ; Russian: Международный аэропорт «Манас») (IATA: FRU, ICAO: UCFM) is the main international airport in Kyrgyzstan, located 25 kilometres (16 mi) north-northwest of the capital, Bishkek.

The current runway and terminal were built in 1978. On 30 November 2011, the Kyrgyz Government signed a decree and awarded an international status to the airport. Thus, it became Karakol International Airport. [5] On 2 December 2011, the first international flight landed at Karakol International Airport.
Jalal-Abad Airport started its operations in 1938 as a landing strip in the outskirts of the then small provincial town. [4] In 1947, it became an aerodrome and fully resumed its operations after World War II. The current runway and terminal were built in 1972. It is a regional class 3C airport.
