The Missinaibi River is a river in northern Ontario, Canada, which flows northeast from Missinaibi Lake, north of Chapleau, and empties into the Moose River, which drains into James Bay. This river (including Missinaibi Lake and Moose River to James Bay) is 755 kilometres (469 mi) in length.
Missanabie is a community in the Canadian province of Ontario, located in the Algoma District at the northern terminus of Highway 651, inside the boundaries of the Chapleau Crown Game Preserve. During the Woodland period, Cree and Ojibwe peoples travelled Missinaibi Lake as part of their waterway network linking the Great Lakes with James Bay.French explorers Pierre-Esprit Radisson and Médard Chouart des Groseilliers may have passed the lake during their Lake Superior expedition of 1659, while the first written record about the lake is a French account from 1666.
The Huron River is a 7.6-mile-long (12.2 km) river [1] in the northern Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the United States. Locally, it is commonly called the Big Huron River to distinguish it from the nearby Little Huron River. Another much larger Huron River is in Southeast Michigan.

The wilderness also includes a 15-foot (4.6 m) waterfall, Rock River Falls, and a shallow 13-acre (53,000 m 2) lake, Ginpole Lake. Both waterways, the waterfall, and the lake are all part of the Lake Superior drainage basin. [2] [3] Large fauna within the Rock River Canyon Wilderness includes the black bear and the whitetail deer.
