Dr. Ranatunga Arachchige Dayarathna Ranatunga (Sinhala:දයාරත්න රණතුංග: born 29 October 1940), popularly as Dayarathna Ranatunga, is a Sri Lankan singer and music director. One of the most honored singers of Sri Lanka, Dayarathna is considered as an icon in Ragadhari music in Sri Lanka. [1]
The song was written by Dharmasena Pathiraja with music by Premasiri Khemadasa and became a popular song in Sri Lanka. [4] His duets with Neela Wickramasinghe also became hugely popular hits. [ 5 ] Also he has composed music for some songs but he achieved fame as a talented vocalist.
Abeysekera was a pioneering Sinhala broadcaster. He was a rare breed, a "teenage broadcaster" launching a broadcasting career with Radio Ceylon, which he joined in 1950 at the age of 20. In 1958 he was sent to London for specialist broadcasting training with the BBC. Studio 5 of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation has been named after him.

"Manda Pama" (Sinhala: මන්ද පමා), is a 2020 Sinhala song by Sri Lankan Singer Umaria Sinhawansa. It is pop, Arabic, R&B song. It was released as the single on July 3, 2020, through SaReGaMa Music Records. [1] The song was written by Manuranga Wijesekara, alongside its produce Dimithri Fonseka known as DimRaaw (DimRaaw Productions) .
It has remained a hit in Sri Lanka for over thirty years, mostly as a result of Neela Wickramasinghe's later version based on the 4/4 time signature arrangement and riffs of the original English version. An authorized cover of the song was performed live and recorded by popular Sri Lankan duo Bathiya and Santhush.
