The Ouray Historic District, in Ouray, Colorado, is a 114-acre (0.46 km 2) historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. [1] Many of the commercial buildings are Italianate in style; [ 2 ] many residences are Victorian .
The Ouray Real Estate and Building Association started construction on the Beaumont Hotel on 5 July 1886, completing it on December 15, 1886 at a cost of $75,000. Palmer House supplied employees for the grand opening, on July 25, 1887.

Portland is a census-designated place (CDP) located in and governed by Ouray County, Colorado, United States. The CDP is a part of the Montrose, CO Micropolitan Statistical Area. The population of the Portland CDP was 136 at the United States Census 2020. [3] The Ridgway post office (Zip Code 81432) serves the area. [4]
The building turned out to be a theater designed by Gus Kullerstrand of Ouray and it opened to much fanfare on Saturday, September 11, 1915. The newspaper coverage from September 17 says, "Close to 400 people took in the event, all parts of the country being represented by a goodly number of persons.
Located on 7th Avenue in Ouray, Colorado, USA, it was built near the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad's Passenger Station. It is one of the few remaining examples of a wood-frame hotel from the 1880s that remain today. The building was purchased by Zeppelin Development in 2021 and underwent major renovations. [2]
