Robert Reginald Oatey OAM (16 August 1942 – 17 September 2019) [1] [2] was an Australian rules footballer who played with Norwood and Sturt in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). He was a member of the South Australian Football Hall of Fame .
Jack Oatey is the only person in elite Australian rules football history to coach over 500 wins. He coached Norwood, West Adelaide and Sturt to a total of 521 wins and five draws from a record 786 matches (153 of these were as playing coach for Norwood) for an overall success rate of 66.6%.
Peter E. Oatey (born 22 September 1946 [1]) is a former South Australian sportsman who played both Australian rules football and tennis. He appeared in two Australian Championships and played for the Norwood Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL).
