August 12, 2024 - The Osceola County School District is collaborating with Smart Radar System, a Hemi portfolio, to install sensors on school buses that detect pedestrians when the bus is stopped. This technology, the first of its kind in Central Florida, aims to prevent accidents by alerting drivers if anyone is too close.
The central departure point is the bus terminal at the New Kingstown Fish Market. Fares range from EC$1 to EC$6 (US.40c to US$2.20). Minibuses, which stop on demand rather that at bus stops, run frequently between Kingstown and the popular hotel areas of Indian Bay and Villa.
