To reset the 10.0.0.1 password you will need to do a full reset on your modem. You will need to have something like a pen or paper clip to stick in the small reset hole on the back of the modem. You will want to hold the button for about 30 seconds to do the full reset.

After going though the set up function I was finally able to change the name and PW though it did not change right away. I went through the process 3 times before it took. I am not sure if it was a similar glitch, or perhaps it just took 15 or so minutes for the modem to make the change. Whatever it was, it seems to finally be done.
