I use Deemix along with a Deezer premium ARL that you copy into Deemix so that you can download in 320kpbs. The Deemix software has been discontinued but still works fine for now and you can find ARLs online so you don't need to pay for one.

The thing is that free mp3 have to option for both 320kbps mp3 and lossless audio. Most sites YT-DLP works with are free sites which if they have music like youtube do not have lossless audio or even high quality compressed audio. They are usually 128 kbps at best which is the bare minimum for good audio.
