Infanta Isabel and Prince Gaetan of two Sicillies. 1868. Isabel's marriage took place amidst great pomp on 13 May 1868. Upon his marriage, Isabella II bestowed on Gaetan the title of Infante. After the wedding, the young couple embarked a long honeymoon that took them first to visit her new family-in-law residing at the Palazzo Farnese in Rome.
Ankarette Twynho (c. 1412 –1477) was a member of the Somerset gentry and had been a lady's maid to Isabel Neville, Duchess of Clarence until the duchess' death, probably from complications following childbirth, in December 1476. Twynho was accused of poisoning her with bad ale.

Infanta Isabel was named for Infanta Isabel, Countess of Girgenti and Princess of Asturias (1851–1931), oldest daughter of Queen Isabella II of Spain and her husband Francisco de Asís, Duke of Cádiz, [1] and heiress presumptive to the Spanish throne from 1851 to 1857.
Isabella II (Spanish: Isabel II, María Isabel Luisa de Borbón y Borbón-Dos Sicilias; 10 October 1830 – 9 April 1904) was Queen of Spain from 1833 until her deposition in 1868.
