  5. AKO/Enterprise Email Address after Retirement - RallyPoint

    www.rallypoint.com/answers/ako-enterprise-email-address-after-retirement

I've had an ARRL (Ham radio) email address that goes to my gmail for many years. There is no place to log onto ARRL to SEE the email, but the address can be used transparently. It's basically a "vanity" email address. I don't see why the Army couldn't have done the same for retirees.

Many units have replicated much of the functionality to share points, share drives, and Teams. There is no Army-wide replacement for AKO. 1.

My problem is, this was circa 2001 and I definitely do not remember what that email was. Does anyone know what the "format" would have been around that time for an army brat's AKO email? Yep. Unless the name is John Smith, in which case, it's gonna be like john.smith42069@us.army.mil. It's academic, coz AKO mail is dead, and OP will not be able ...

No, it's currently not connected to AKO at all for most people-- you MIGHT be able to have an option to check your AKO email or your mail.mil one by clicking on the mail icon in AKO. Maybe. MOD. AKO is dead, but a new one has risen from the ashes. As we all know, AKO has died. A moment of silence for a site that was pretty useful. . . . . However, a new site has arisen. Army Knowledge Offline lists all the links that the old AKO did so that you don’t have to clutter up your bookmarks bar. I’ll take a #11, add bacon, and BBQ chips.
