13 October 2023 at 5:09PM. I am helping my dad to fill in the form to apply for attendance allowance. I have read a lot of tips and guides online which say that claims are often rejected because people don’t include enough information about their disability and how it affects them. I have talked to my parents about all the details of my ...

Attendance Allowance: Upgrading from Lower rate to Higher rate. My father current gets paid the lower rate but his deteriorating health warrants an increase to the higher rate. I’ve looked at the application form on the .gov.uk web site and just looks complicated and long winded. It looks as though you can do it by post using the form AA1A ...

In December my mum filled out the Attendance Allowance form and posted it off. She had wanted to send Special Delivery but the post office said she could not do so, as it was a freepost address. Fast forward to now and she's heard nothing so called up last week. Was told they haven't received it, which means she now needs to fill in all over again.

They will send the form on request. You will need to inform Pensions and Attendance Allowance separately. Stating the obvious, payments will continue to go into the existing account until they have the new details. If they have to send the form to you, and you then have to complete and return it, the process of change could take a couple of weeks.

21 August 2013 at 12:56PM. I have printed out the AA claim form but it gives no address to return it to. On the Gov.uk website the box that says "enter your postcode here and press enter" (to find out where to send it to) doesn't work- I think that should have told me where to return it to! I'm doing all this for my elderly mum and if I don't ...

attendance allowance. AlecSmart Posts: 2 Newbie. 22 February at 1:56PM. One crucial thing Martin omitted to mention the other night about applying for AA was not to be put off by the length and complexity of the application form. I've known pensioners who, although they would doubtless qualify, are deterred as soon as they see the form.
