Zhejiang Gongshang University (Chinese: 浙江工商大学; lit. 'Zhejiang Industrial and Commercial University') is a provincial public university in Hangzhou , Zhejiang , China. It is affiliated with the Province of Zhejiang.

Hangzhou City University (HZCU) (Chinese: 浙大城市学院) is a public university in Hangzhou, China, which was established by the Hangzhou City Government. Its predecessor was Zhejiang University City College, jointly founded by Zhejiang University and the Hangzhou City government in 1999.
Xu got his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China, in 1989. He serves on the faculty of Zhejiang University as a full professor, since 1996, and prior to it, for a year, was a visiting professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering in Tokyo University in Tokyo, Japan.
In 2001, Zhejiang University established the Ningbo Institute of Technology as an independent college, thus acquiring its Ningbo campus. [1] The independent college is a type of collaboration between the public university and the business sector in China, which awards its own degree independently. [ 2 ]
In 1936, Zhejiang University founded a sub-department about aeronautical engineering under the Department of Mechanical Engineering. 1945, the physicist and educator Mr. FAN Xuqi (范绪箕) further foundered the Department of Aeronautical Engineering, and was pointed to the first director of the department.
