The Phuket Island Light Rail Transit project is a planned 58.6-kilometre (36.4 mi) MRTA light rail transit system for Phuket and Phang Nga provinces in Thailand.The line will consist of 24 [1] stations running from Takua Thung District in Phang Nga Province to Phuket City and terminating at Chalong intersection.

In Phuket province, there are several Songthaew (blue wooden buses) services which connect the beach resorts with Phuket Town. The routes operate around every 30 minutes from Ranong Road in Phuket starting at around 06:00 and finishing at around 17:00 (from each end of the route). The price is typically around 50 baht single fare.
The buses have the BMTA symbol on them, mostly seen below the driver's side window. These often follow slightly different routings from the main big BMTA bus or do not run along the whole route. BMTA currently operates bus routes in Bangkok and its metropolitan area namely Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon and Nakhon Pathom.

It is approximately 2 kilometers far from both stations. For local buses that pass the stations, there are bus route number 3 and 77, at Chatuchak park side, and number 3, 5, 16, 49, 96, 104, 134, 136, 138, 145, 204, and 529 at parking lot side that people can catch to the Mo Chit 2 bus terminal.
