The Arcadia University legacy begins in 1853, in Western Pennsylvania, when Sylvania Jones and Juliet A. Poundstone left their family homes in Lafayette County, to pursue an education. The students accompanied Dr. Sheridan Baker, principal at the Brownsville School they had attended, to the newly chartered Beaver Female Seminary.

On April 28, 2007, Temple University-Ambler celebrated “Skip Wilson Day" when the university officially dedicated Skip Wilson Field at Ambler in honor of the coach. [ 4 ] Prior to Skip Wilson Field, Temple baseball played its home games at Erny Field at Mount Pleasant Avenue and Michener Street in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia.
It is located just off campus at Arcadia University and off Pennsylvania Route 309. As of the 2010 census [4] the population was 595 residents. With 10,438 people per square mile, Arcadia University is the most densely populated census-designated place in Montgomery County and 33rd most densely populated census-designated place in the U.S.

This residence hall is used for the University's study abroad programme participants. Thoresby House is in Hoxton within the London Borough of Hackney , on the border of Islington . Located on Thoresby Street, just off City Road , Thoresby House is close to Angel and Old Street tube stations on the Northern line in zone 1.
At Acadia University, students have access to the Student Union Building which serves as a hub for students and houses many Student Union organizations. The building houses The Axe Lounge, a convenience store, an information desk, two food outlets, and the Sexual Health Resource Centre. The university press, The Athenaeum is a member of CUP.
