South Gloucestershire and Stroud College was formed when Filton College and Stroud College merged in early 2012. Filton College was founded in 1960 as Filton Technical College. [1] By 1965 the college had over 2000 students, many of whom were part-time. In 1990 the college officially changed its name to Filton College.
Day-boys were admitted in 1949 and girls were admitted to the sixth form in 1984. In 1991 it merged with the Collegiate School, a girls' school in Winterbourne , and was given the name Colston's Collegiate School, but this was reverted to Colston's School in 2005. [ 1 ]
North Bristol Post 16 Centre is a Sixth Form centre in Bristol, England. It is made up of two 'learning communities' at Cotham School and at Redland Green School . [ 2 ] [ 3 ] It opened in September 2007, one year after Redland Green School opened for Year 7 pupils.
