Udayana University (Indonesian: Universitas Udayana, abbreviated as UNUD) is a for-profit public university in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. It was established on September 29, 1962, and it used to belong to the Airlangga University mainly located in Surabaya .

Since October 1, 1965 PSSRD the Fine Arts Department Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University. Based on the decision of the Rector of Udayana, Udayana PSSRD formed inter-faculty study programs, strengthened by the Decree of Directorate General of Higher Education Department of Education in carrying out its functions Tridharma Higher Education.

I Wayan Arka (Balinese: ᬇᬯᬬᬦ᭄ᬅᬃᬓ) FASSA FAHA (born 1962) is an Indonesian-Balinese linguist, lecturer, scholar and researcher at Udayana University (UNUD) in Bali, Indonesia and the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra, Australia.
In 1962 the Udayana University (Indonesian: Universitas Udayana), a public university was established in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. The university's name was derived from this king. Also, the Indonesian Army named their Bali-based Military Command Region (Kodam), in his honor, the Kodam IX/Udayana. His son Airlangga, became the King of Kahuripan.
