Hope International University is a private Christian university in Fullerton, California. It enrolls around 1,140 students. [1] While Hope is non-denominational, it has strong ties to the Restoration Movement and the Christian churches and churches of Christ. Hope is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Graves Hall Dimnent Memorial Chapel. Hope's motto is taken from Psalm 42:6: "Spera in Deo" ("Hope in God"). The college's emblem is an anchor.This is drawn from a speech by Albertus van Raalte, the leader of the community, on the occasion of the founding of the Pioneer School in 1851: "This is my anchor of hope for this people in the future," (an allusion to Hebrews 6:19).

Herrick taught at Hope College from 1984 until his retirement in 2020. His courses included Analytic Skills in Communication, Rhetoric and Public Culture, Biotechnology and Human Enhancement, and Rhetorical and Communication Theory. [5] He also taught at LCC International University in Klaipeda, Lithuania during the spring semester of 2004. [6]

Community college education in San Diego can be traced to 1914 when the board of education of the San Diego City Schools authorized postsecondary classes for the youth of San Diego. Classes opened that fall at San Diego High School with four faculty members and 35 students, establishing San Diego City College.
