Glenrothes is the administrative capital of Fife, containing the headquarters of both Fife Council and Police Scotland Fife Division and is a major service centre within the area. Planned in the 1940s, following World War II, as Scotland's second new town [3] its purpose was to generate economic growth and renewal in central Fife.

Cadham is a precinct in the former new town of Glenrothes in Fife, Scotland. [1] [2] The oldest part of Cadham was once a hamlet and was established to house workers of the nearby Tullis Russell papermills. In the 1970s the Glenrothes Development Corporation expanded the hamlet to become a housing precinct.
Glenrothes Football Club is a Scottish football club based in the new town of Glenrothes, Fife. The club play home games at Warout Stadium, and currently compete in the East of Scotland League Premier Division, having moved from the junior leagues in 2019.
