Chinese star maps (simplified Chinese: 星图; traditional Chinese: 星圖; pinyin: xīngtú) are usually directional or graphical representations of Chinese astronomical alignments. Throughout the history of China , numerous star maps have been recorded.
Qianfan (Chinese: 千帆星座; pinyin: Qiānfān xīngzuò; lit. 'Thousand Sails Constellation'), [1] officially known as the Spacesail Constellation [2] and also referred to as G60 Starlink, [3] is a planned Chinese low-Earth orbit satellite internet megaconstellation to create a system of worldwide internet coverage.
The modern Chinese term for "constellation", referring to those as defined by the IAU system, is 星座 (xīng zuò). The older term 星官 (xīng guān) is used only in describing constellations of the traditional system.
The whole set of star maps contained 1,300 stars. The Dunhuang map or Dunhuang Star map is one of the first known graphical representations of stars from ancient Chinese astronomy, dated to the Tang dynasty (618–907). Before this map, much of the star information mentioned in historical Chinese texts had been questioned. [2]

The 10 low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites were launched from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre, located in the northern province of Shanxi, Geespace said in a statement.
The launch is part of SSST's "Thousand Sails Constellation" plan, also known as the "G60 Starlink Plan", which began last year and aims to deploy more than 15,000 low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites.
