Jenny Lake is a starting point for many day and overnight hiking trips. The 7.1-mile (11.4 km) Jenny Lake Trail loops around the lake and is considered to be relatively easy due to the small altitude gain of 700 feet (210 m). However, the altitude increases rapidly once Cascade Canyon is entered.
The Jenny Lake Trail is a 7.1-mile (11.4 km) long hiking trail which circles Jenny Lake located in Grand Teton National Park in the U.S. state of Wyoming. [2] The trail begins at the Jenny Lake campground or can be accessed at several other trailheads. [ 3 ]
The trailhead is at the South Jenny Lake parking area and follows the Jenny Lake Trail around the south shore of Jenny Lake to the Forks of Cascade Canyon. [2] The trail passes near Hidden Falls after almost 3 miles (4.8 km) then goes west into the heart of Cascade Canyon, flanked by Teewinot Mountain and Mount Owen to the south and The Jaw and Rock of Ages to the north. The trail is also known as the String Lake, Jenny Lake and Phelps Lake trails for part of its course. Webb Canyon Trail [30] is 9.9 miles (15.9 km) long and in the far northern region of the park. The trail extends from near Wilcox Point on Jackson Lake and intercepts the Owl Creek Trail at Moose Basin Divide.

Cascade Creek is a stream located entirely within Grand Teton National Park in the US state of Wyoming. [2] The stream flows from Lake Solitude to Jenny Lake, a distance of approximately 8 miles (13 km). A few miles from its source, Cascade Creek receives water from the South Fork Cascade Creek, doubling its flow.
