The church was founded in 1883 as Swedish Baptist Church [1] and is home to Central Preschool and Kindergarten, the largest preschool in South Dakota. Today they serve the general Sioux Falls area, and have services at 5:00 pm Saturday and 8:30 am, 9:45 am and 11:15 am Sunday.
The name was changed from North American Baptist Seminary to Sioux Falls Seminary on May 18, 2007. In July 2009, the seminary moved into a new, environmentally friendly campus in central Sioux Falls, nestled on the eastern edge of the Augustana University campus. The institution is now known as Kairos University.
