COMPASS, also referred to as Freeway Traffic Management System, is a system run by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) to monitor and manage the flow of traffic on various roads (including 400-series highways) in Ontario. COMPASS uses pairs of in-road sensors to detect the speed and density of traffic flow.
Hyde Park Road is an 8.1-kilometre-long (5.0 mi) north–south arterial road in London, Ontario, Canada. It extends from the Thames River in the Oakridge area northward through the village and road namesake of Hyde Park and through Ilderton north of the city to Highway 7.
The Veterans Memorial Parkway (VMP, known as "Veterans" by locals) is a 13.4 km (8.3 mi) limited-access and municipally maintained parkway located entirely within London, Ontario. Highway 135 was established in 1957 alongside the opening of Highway 401 between London and Woodstock. It provided a more direct route between Highway 401 and Highway 2, which continued towards Windsor. At that time, Highway 401 was yet to be constructed between Tilbury and London.
