Oswego Township occupies the 6-mile-square-plus additional land to the south of the Fox River in northeast corner of Kendall County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 50,870 and it contained 17,914 housing units.
Oswego (/ ɒ s ˈ w iː ɡ oʊ /) is a village in Kendall and Will counties, Illinois, United States. Per the 2020 census , the population was 34,485. [ 3 ] Oswego is the largest municipality in Kendall County.
Illinois Route 25 (IL 25) is a state route in northeast Illinois. It runs north from U.S. Route 34 in Oswego to Illinois Route 62 (Algonquin Road) in Algonquin . Illinois 25 is 35.04 miles (56.39 km) in length.
The stretch between US 34 and Orchard Road in Oswego was widened to four lanes in each direction, with the addition of center turn lane, in which the project was completed in the fall of 2015. There are also current plans to build a silica sand mine off of IL 71 near Starved Rock State Park, pending final approval by the City of Ottawa.
Windmill at Fabyan Park. Named after eccentric businessman Colonel George Fabyan, it is south of Geneva. On the east side, the trail passes a "Dutch" style windmill from the 1850s that was moved to the river site and refurbished in 1914. The trail can cross the river on a small island with a lighthouse built as a joke.
