Devereaux House in Halton Hills, Ontario is a historic farmhouse that includes Victorian architecture with Gothic influences. The farm was established in 1829; the house was built during the 1860s. [1] The house underwent extensive restoration in 2008. [2] It is now rented out for special events.
Henry was the tenth Premier of Ontario from 1930 to 1934. Ten days before his death in 1958, Henry sold his farm for CA$2 million to the developers of the present-day neighbourhood. The national Historic Sites and Monuments Board describes it as "a rare surviving example of the type of estate developed in Canada during the inter-war years, and is rarer still by its essentially intact condition, furnished and run to illustrate as it was lived within."
