The NASCAR Canada series has made a stop in Saskatoon for a Wednesday night race, the Bayer Crop Sciences Velocity Prairie Thunder, since 2009. The schedule was interrupted in 2020 and 2021 by the Coronavirus Covid 19 pandemic, but is back on the schedule for 2022 with the Leland Industries Twin 125's on July 27, 2022.
Martin became an executive with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1921 and was a team doctor for over 30 years. [1] [7] He served as team president in 1954 and 1955.[7] [8] He was also president of the Regina Victorias from 1925 to 1926, 1927 to 1928, and 1931 to 1933 and served as president of the Saskatchewan Fish and Game League.

Saskatchewan International Raceway, also known as SIR, is a drag racing facility located 13 kilometers south of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. The facility features a ¼ mile IHRA-sanctioned drag strip. The track was originally built by Les Howard in 1966.
