The Huntsville Symphony Orchestra is a symphonic orchestra located in Huntsville, Alabama. The current conductor and music director is Gregory Vajda. Vajda has been the conductor since the 2011-2012 season. The orchestra's resident conductor is Joseph Lee.

Huntsville has grown through recent annexations west into Limestone County by 21.5 square miles (56 km 2) (13,885 acres, 5,619 ha) in the early 2000s, [65] and south into Morgan County with 1.03 square miles (2.67 km2) (659.1 acres, 266.73 ha) in 2018. [15] Huntsville borders Marshall County across the Tennessee River near Hobbs Island.
On February 10, 2007, the Huntsville Havoc beat the Knoxville Ice Bears 7–6, in front of the largest crowd for a sporting event in the VBC's history, with 7,083 fans. [ 9 ] It was the site of the first-ever Total Nonstop Action Wrestling card, which featured in-ring cameos by Toby Keith and Sterling Marlin .
Phillips was born in Birmingham, Alabama and grew up in Huntsville where she attended Randolph School. She received Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from the Juilliard School where she was a student of Cynthia Hoffmann. [1] In 2002 and 2003 she attended the Music Academy of the West summer conservatory. [2]
The museum is located at 2200 South Van Buren on the Washington Street campus of Amarillo College. AMoA hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
