The Pink Panther (also known as The New Pink Panther Show) is an American animated television series based on the original theatrical cartoons of the same name produced by MGM Animation in association with Mirisch-Geoffrey DePatie-Freleng and United Artists, and distributed through Claster Television (TV distribution) and Camelot Entertainment Sales (barter services).
The What a Cartoon! series of showcase shorts brought the creation of many Cartoon Network original series collectives branded as "Cartoon Cartoons" in 1995. Cartoon Network has also broadcast several feature films, mostly animated or containing animated sequences, under its "Cartoon Theater" block, later renamed "Flicks".

DePatie–Freleng ceased production of Looney Tunes and moved to the San Fernando Valley in 1967 to continue production of their Pink Panther cartoons producing the final original theatrical cartoon in 1977. The subsequent Pink Panther shorts 1978–1981 were originally produced for television and then released into theaters.
