CCLS students have the opportunity to experience a variety of field trips every year. In addition to field trips, 6th-8th grade students participate in class trips. Class trips include Chicago, Illinois (8th grade), and different trips every year for 5-7th.

The school offers 6th grade through 8th grades with classes consisting of 20 students and one teacher. The middle school currently has 75 students. The middle school is project-based and students have the opportunity to subsidize classroom instruction with frequent whole-class field trips to various locations throughout the greater Seattle area.
Recent field trips have included a 5th grade trip to SHARPE reservation in Fishkill, NY, a 4th grade Albany field trip and an 8th grade Washington, D.C. trip. The music department includes band, strings, a jazz band, drumline, string ensemble, and a mixed chorus.
Eucharist is held at the first chapel of each month. A Religion class is also held; for 6th grade, it centers around the branches of Christianity; for 7th grade, it centers around teachings of different world religions, including lectures from guest speakers and field trips; and for 8th grade, it is an ethics class.
There is a particular focus on sustainable outdoor adventure, along with social and community service in the two week trips at the end of grade 8 and grade 11. The school offers a wide variety of sports, including track and field, golf, soccer, swimming, tennis, water polo, and dance. [1]
