This is a list of characters featured in the PBS Kids television show Arthur, it is based on the book series by Marc Brown. Arthur is the main character and protagonist of the series. Other major characters include Buster, Muffy, Francine, Binky, the Brain, Sue Ellen, Mr. Ratburn, D.W., Kate, and Arthur's parents.
Francine inadvertently takes Catherine's backpack to the community center and discovers a magazine called Popular Girl. After taking a personality quiz, Sue Ellen and Fern change their personalities to be more "likable".
Arthur and Buster trick Mr. Ratburn into recording himself reading a book for young children, which they then edit over a manipulated photo of him dressed as a hippie. Francine delivers the video to Patty, who laughs it off to the kids' surprise. Arthur and Francine initiate a plan to connect Mr. Ratburn with the town's librarian, Ms. Turner.
Arthur and his friends try out for the baseball team, and Arthur struggles with catching the ball while Francine cannot throw accurately. When Francine wishes for her father, Oliver Frensky, to kick Arthur off the team, thinking he is the reason the team is not doing well, he makes Arthur and Francine coach each other to get better.

The only example I can think of is Francine's Jewish background, which has been a plot theme in an episode or two, excluding the Holiday special. Character should generally not offer tedious details about characters, but rather a brief summary on the characters role in the series.
