Hand Pain While Writing (Thenar Eminence) Hello Redditors among the Handwriting Community, Over the last few years, I have developed some pain while handwriting or taking notes and it is exclusively in the region underneath the thumb (palmar region). I have researched that this area is known as the thenar eminence when inflamed (or in pain).
My grip became weak and my thenar eminence (as I googled) is very sensitive, it feels like my thenar eminance part of left hand has been unskinned. It aches when it touches a surface/thing. Another is that my arms most specially the part between my elbow and hand feels heavy and aches at night or when used.
BFS can be so annoying! Mine tend to twitch when I have a tight grip too! Man, I had to look up what thenar eminence was. Just say your thumb area lol. Yes, both hands occasionally twitch here. O_O. It could be CTS but would be indicative of atrophy, which is late stage CTS and permanent. You would have noticed the CTS symptoms for months or years before.
