You can use this template to include a timeline in an article page. Type {{subst:Include timeline}} where you want the timeline to appear. Click "Preview" In the box that appears, follow the link to create a timeline; Fill in the blanks using the instructions that appear; Once you've saved your timeline, return to the article page and press "save".
This is a category of templates that generate timelines. A few of them are a specific timeline used in one article context. Others are parameterizable templates, used to generate a particular type of timeline visualization, in multiple contexts.
The template should automatically detect the correct title of the timeline article, as long as it has been named in one of the more common patterns for such articles (check the link to be sure it worked). If the template doesn't detect the correct name automatically, then add it in manually like this:
