On the topic of battery charger, I opted for a NOCO Gen 5x2. A dual lead, 5 amp per lead smart charger. Each battery gets its own lead and I can independently control what each battery is getting. I stood around for 35 minutes trying to figure out where to mount it. Ended up drilling and tapping the OGE battery tie down 1/4x20 and bolting it down.
The battery tray mount pushes the ABS module about an inch to fit the battery, brake lines are able to take the flex no problem. I ran this setup for 2 years with no problems and it was excellent. The Blue Sea ML-ACR Magnetic Auto Charging Relay keeps the 2nd battery topped off whenever you are driving, and disconnects as soon as the batteries ...

OP gave zero information on his intended uses of the dual batteries. You can setup a hundred batteries on the truck and be able to run them with the original alternator, or you can have a single one and drain the thing. The difference is in how you use them. 0210, Feb 27, 2017. #8.

I know the ideal situation is to use 2 identical batteries, but due to space constrains I may need to run 2 different size batteries. I'm looking into Odyssey 75/86-PC1230 and 34/78-PC1500.
