The Wave is a made-for-TV movie directed by Alex Grasshoff, based on The Third Wave experiment put on by teacher Ron Jones to explain to his students how the German populace could accept the actions of the Nazi regime. Ron Jones (born 1941) is an American writer and formerly a teacher in Palo Alto, California. He is best known for his classroom exercise called " The Third Wave " and the book he wrote about the event, which inspired the made-for-TV movie The Wave and other works, including a theatrical film in 2008.
