It begins at a junction with State Route 78 and runs roughly north over Yaqui Pass to Borrego Springs, bearing the name Yaqui Pass Road. It turns left onto Deep Well Trail and left again onto Borrego Springs Road. It ends at a junction with County Route S22 at a large roundabout known as Christmas Circle. Its total length is 12.1 miles (19.5 km).
