The Joliet JackHammers were a professional baseball team based in Joliet, Illinois, in the United States. The JackHammers were a member of the Northern League, which is not affiliated with Major League Baseball. From 2002 to 2010, the JackHammers played their home games at Silver Cross Field.
They replaced the Joliet JackHammers of the Northern League after the franchise was crippled by numerous financial issues. The JackHammers franchise was put up for sale and Steel City Baseball, LLC, bought out all assets, including the front office, the ticketing system, and the lease of the ballpark.

The facility also hosts several youth baseball leagues in the area as well certain special events, such as the annual Joliet Police Department vs. Joliet Fire Department rivalry nicknamed "Guns and Hoses".

Díaz was a veteran of 14 minor-league seasons. He started his baseball career in 1997 with the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, playing for them two years before joining the Boston (2000–2002), Baltimore (2003), Minnesota (2004), and St. Louis systems. In 2007, he played for the independent Joliet JackHammers of the Northern League.
On April 21, 2010, the Joliet JackHammers acquired Petrick, from the ThunderBolts. Petrick signed with the Amarillo Thunderheads of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball for the 2015 season. Petrick's brother, Zach, is also a professional baseball player. [1]
Cedric Bernard Landrum (born September 3, 1963) is an American former Major League Baseball outfielder. He played in parts of two seasons in the majors, 1991 for the Chicago Cubs and 1993 for the New York Mets. He was also the hitting coach for the Joliet JackHammers.
